Please keep Pippi's brother, Irish Setter, Rusty Phillips, in your prayers!  (And, please keep Sandy her Mumz in your prayer's also! She's gone thru so much these past few months!) Rusty was diagnosed a few weeks back with an oral Melanoma and is currently undergoing radiation therapy at the Univeristy of TN Veterinary Hospital and will also be having the newest vaccine for Oral Melanomas. Sandy drives Rusty 2 hours each way weekly (Rusty goes on a Monday and comes home on Friday for the weekend)  Without this treatment (and not cheap) Rusty's life span is NUL.  With it, he has a prognosis of 4 Good Years! Rusty and Pippi are so fortunate to have a "hoomin" like Sandy to be their forever parent and to put their needs first!
They call me Pippi, like the Pippi Longstocking books by Astrid Lindgren.

I have a freckled face and red ears (like pig tails). I am a Field Bred Orange Belton English Setter, a lot smaller then those fancy dogs you see on TV in the show ring. I weigh 35 lbs and am approximately 5 yrs young now.  I recently moved from Florida to Tennessee with my Mum, Sandy and Pincho, Rusty, Suzy and Holly.  I miss my Dad, Bill, very very much!

I came into rescue at 2 yrs old, and at 3 yrs of age was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. My first rescue group said, "I was going to die! " I proved them wrong!

I love to watch birdies in the sky and go to the dog park with my friends Rusty, Pincho, Suzy  and Holly.

I was diagnosed in March of 2006 with a neurological disease called:

Myasthenia Gravis.  It's been 3 years nowand I am thriving according to Sandy , my Mommy and  well as everyone else that Had  A Heart        for ME!

Please look at my WHY and my TREATMENT pages for more information and.....

You can see my REAL LIFE HEART on my Treatment Page!

After all, so many of you have shown me your heart, I thought it was fitting I show you mine!

A wonderful poem by ee cummings:
i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart)
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
                                   i fear
no fate (for you are my fate,my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart     (i carry it in my heart)
